Data security is number One for Paragon ID UK following ISO accreditation
Cyber security and the protection of information has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently but what this has made it clear how important it is to put in place the necessary processes that ensure data is correctly stored and shared.
Businesses across the UK and the globe want to be sure that their information is kept secure by partners and that rigorous practices are in place to support this.
Taking the time to put our own practices under the spotlight, we are delighted to announce that Paragon ID in the UK have been awarded ISO 27001 accreditation in relation to the information and security management systems that we have in place.
As a company that takes its responsibilities seriously when it comes to data handling, we wanted to formalise our processes and give our customers the confidence to know that we have certification in place that has been awarded by a leading and independent third party.
As you would expect, a great deal of preparation went into the accreditation and it was essential that staff from every level of the business were involved. As well as understanding the processes that are necessary to meet with ISO 27001 guidelines, the team were also given the necessary training required to ensure the company adhered to the stipulations set out by the International Standards Organisation.
Andrew Jones, General Manager, Paragon ID UK comments: “Receiving ISO 27001 has given the whole team a renewed focus and confidence moving forward when it comes to managing data on behalf of our growing client base.”
“Information security and data management has been the focus on attention over recent times, and often for the wrong reasons. We know that by securing ISO 27001 accreditation we are able to give partners and clients the confidence in our practices to keep and manage their data securely.”
“Achieving the accreditation has required a real collective effort from everyone across both our UK sites (Hull and Wisbech). Having this in place is a fantastic achievement and is something the whole team should be incredibly proud of.”
