Paragon ID UK is pleased to announce the launch of its low-cost automatic in-station ITSO smartcard dispenser at this year’s Transport Ticketing Global in London.

The automatic smartcard kiosk dispenses ITSO standard smartcards registered to the customer, which can easily be linked to an online account within seconds. This eliminates the need for customers to wait for a new smartcard to arrive in the post after ordering it online from their transport provider.

Set to help rail operators provide a more convenient way for passengers to buy and receive their train tickets, Paragon ID’s new kiosk supports Department for Transport plans for the roll out of smart ticketing across the network.

Paragon ID will give demonstrations of the smartcard machine at its stand at the forthcoming TTG 2020 at London Olympia from 28th to 29th January, alongside their innovative mobile ticketing solutions and other smart ticketing solutions. The event is expected to attract over 1,200 transport professionals, who gather to discover the latest innovations and technology the industry has to offer.

Sarah McLaughlin, Account Director at Paragon ID, said: “We are proud to bring such an effective and low-cost smartcard dispensing solution to the market. It complements our existing offering of traditional and digital ticketing solutions for both bus and rail operators and provides an ideal solution to roll out smartcards to season ticket holders who can subsequently load their card with multiple tickets for travel on rail and bus.”

The exterior of the smartcard kiosk, which was developed in-house by Paragon ID, can be fully customised to reflect each transport operators’ corporate design, whilst its rugged, anti-vandalism construction, designed for easy maintenance ensures a durable solution for a long service life.

Enabling rail and bus operators the flexibility to provide a bespoke platform for their customers, the user interface is adaptable and configurable for different options.
